Looking for some liter-scary fun on Halloween? (Wait! Come back! No more terrible puns, I promise!) Ahem. Anyway, you'll probably like the Monster Book Bash, organized by the Minnesota chapter of the Society for Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. I'll be signing books and doing other spooky stuff. Maybe I'll haunt something. You never know.

Figgy Airplane Eucalyptus @ Wild Rumpus

  • Wild Rumpus Bookstore - Minneapolis, MN (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Need to get your fix of books, cats, and chickens? Look no further than the Wild Rumpus. I'll be doing a joint reading with Marsha Wilson Chall (THE SECRET LIFE OF FIGGY MUSTARDO) and Daniel Bernstrom (ONE DAY IN THE EUCALYPTUS, EUCALYPTUS TREE).

Fair warning: It's an official field trip of the Hamline MFAC program, so watch out for kidlit fanatics. There'll be more than usual.

How To Eat An Airplane: Launch Party!

  • Flying Cloud Airport - Eden Prairie, MN (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

June 4th. Book launch. Actual airport. Real, live airplanes.

Come on down to the Wings of the North flight museum for a reading, airplane-themed treats, Special Musical Guests, and airplanes galore. You won't want to miss this one. Promise.

(Note: Musical guests and airplanes not for eating.)

DIRECTIONS

Enter at Gate H on the north end of Flying Cloud Airport.  The gate should be open (with volunteers to direct you), but dial #006 if you come late.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Peter Pearson's debut picture book is an absurdist guide to eating an airplane without embarrassing yourself. (Hint: You will need a knife, a spoon, and a forklift.)
